Targeted Case Management
Protecting Our Most Precious Resource -- Our Children
MM!MD members joined advocates around the country in protesting the CMS Targeted Case Management (TCM) cost shifting proposed in Dec. 2007, an effort that led to a temporary moratorium that delayed application of the measure. The CMS Final Interim Rule on TCM, scheduled to take effect in March 2008, was seen as an effort to force states to fund greater portions of Medicaid administrative and direct case management services. Medicaid eligible children and children and adults with disabilities were slated to bear the brunt of the measure’s negative impact.
